Purpose Driven Life, Day 39

Posted on August 8, 2012 at 12:00 PM

Day 39, balancing your life, an aspect I pray to God about every day. I am one who lives a busy life and daily seek the Lord to monitor my life that I stay balanced. I don't want to become so busy where there is lack within my life, my family and ministry. I don't want to become so busy where busyness gets ahead of my prayer, devotion and worship time with the Lord. Most of all, I don't want to become so busy where I cannot function in love because I'm out of balance.

The steps to setting yourself up to living a balance life involve 1) an accountability group (church, small group fellowship), a prayer partner, an accountability partner, basically someone or a few people who possess wisdom and sound Word knowledge; 2) self-evaluations, so necessary so as to build your character and develop your maturity naturally and spiritually; 3) writing down your own story and life lessons, the good and the bad, the fears, doubts, successes and joys, in a journal, as a testimony of your personal journey; 4) share your life experience, knowledge and the Word with others who have joined you in the journey to living life on purpose.

Balancing your life is possible if you choose to involve the Lord in the balancing process.

Until then, be blessed and determined always (on purpose),

Co-Pastor Yolanda G. Butler

Chapter Day 40: The end of this book was good. The author suggest that I write a Life Purpose Statement. . I don't know if I will do what this author suggestes at the end of the 40 day challenge. But I will go over this book from time to time.

Chapter Day 39:I thought maybe today I would grade this book. This book has become repetitive to me. So I am giving it a C-. I know I have one more chapter and day to go which is the 40. The goal of the author has been reached and that is outlining a purpose driven life.I know by reading the 39th chapter and day there is nowhere to go but becoming more repetitive. I know the author is trying to but in our heads our purpose in life. Although we could always go back to the previous chapter to be reminded. This author spends to much time with words saying the same thing.
