Day 38, becoming a world-class Christian. This challenge made me appreciate all those who have a love, passion, and desire for world-wide missionary and evangelism. While we are not all called to travel to foreign lands, we all can share in an aspect of world mission whether it is through prayer, sowing seed, short term mission, or long term mission. A very dear friend of mine went to Africa last year. This was a 30 year journey for her for she feared flying, among other fears. She would later discover that God made her for not just local mission work but foreign work. She plans to take another trip shortly and it will be my joy to support her.
Whatever your mission is, you must fulfill it. Even if you are rejected, people refuse to listen to what you have to say or reject your love, they cannot control your prayers. I like that. For every mission must be bathed in prayer. We should all work to become world-class Christian which begins with our thinking--thinking of the needs of others and not always focused on our own; remembering that ministry extends beyond church family, natural family and our local communities---it is global; and seeking God for how to fulfill the mission He planted in our hearts to fulfill.
For today's challenge I humbly ask God to show me what area of mission am I not fulfilling and to prepare for me the journey. Do you dare to ask the same question?
Until then, be blessed and determined always (on purpose),
